چکیده
The Fenton reaction as an effective advanced oxidation technology has been widely used in wastewater treatment for its stable effluent quality, simple operation, mild condition, and higher organic degradation with non-selectivity. However, the traditional is limited by sluggish regeneration of Fe2+, resulting a slower rate, it necessary to further increase dosage which will production iron sludge. Activated carbon (AC) strong adsorption property, cannot be ignored that also can reduce Fe3+. In this study, acid red G (ARG) adding AC Fe3+/H2O2 system, role reducing ability, reason why Fe3+ were studied. By three kinds ACs, including coconut shell-activated (CSPAC), wood-activated (WPAC), coal-activated (CPAC), ability ACs assist Fenton-like system degrade ARG was clarified. Through final effect Fe3+, type best promotion CSPAC. different influence factors particle size, concentration CSPAC, H2O2, pH value observed. conditions determined CSPAC powder size 75 μm 0.6 g/L, initial H2O2 0.4 mmol/L, 0.1 = 3. observed could accelerate early rate process system. FT-IR XPS confirmed C-O-H group on surface Fe2+. This study improve understanding reaction, promote application sewage treatment.

Use of advanced Fenton and Fenton-like oxidation methods to treat wastewater containing Spiramycin antibiotic
Background and Objective: Antibiotics are hardly decomposable and resistant contaminants in the environment that according to their anti-biological properties, it is necessary to eliminate or reduce the amount of them before entering the environment. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to investigate the Fenton and Fenton-like process efficiency for the treatment of wastewater containi...
متن کاملExperimental Comparison of Two Modifications of Activated Sludge for Treatment of Furfural-Containing Wastewater
A case study is presented in which two modifications of activated sludge treatment of complex chemical wastewater are experimentally compared: a combination of common activated sludge with powdered activated carbon treatment (PACT), and bioaugmentation of activated sludge treatment (BAST). Industrial wastewater of Pars Oil Refinery that was passed through an oil recovery stage was used to inve...
متن کاملElectrochemical treatment of Acid Red 1 by electro-Fenton and photoelectro-Fenton processes
Small volumes (100 mL) of acidic aqueous solutions with 30-200 mg L TOC of the toxic azo dye Acid Red 1 (AR1) have been comparatively treated by various electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs). The electrolytic system consisted of a BDD anode able to produce OH and an air-diffusion cathode that generated H2O2, which subsequently reacted with added Fe to yield additional OH from Fen...
متن کاملNaval derusting wastewater containing high concentration of iron, treated in UV photo-Fenton-like oxidation.
The UV photooxidation with Fe(III) and H2O2 was employed to treat a naval derusting wastewater, which contains the high COD (chemical oxygen demand) and various metal concentrations exceptionally with high concentrations of citric acid and iron. Because of its iron containment, the Fenton-like reaction automatically took place with the added amount of H2O2. The decomposition rate was found in a...
